VERMONT
Roadwork - Interstate 89
Interstate 89 southbound: at Exit 8: Montpelier State Highway
left lane closed, traffic restrictions in force because of bridge maintenance work — for the next three weeks
Comment: Bridge work is being done on I-89 just north of Exit 8 . One lane will be closed in the construction area with a lane width of 12 feet. The speed limit in the construction area will be reduced to 50 MPH. Drive with caution.

US 2: at Taylor Street
bridge closed because of bridge maintenance work -- follow local detour — until October 27
Comment: The Taylor Street Bridge that spans the Winooski River between Memorial Drive and State Street in the City of Montpelier has been closed effective 02/08/10 and will undergo Rehabilitation of the structure. Work also includes reconstruction of the approaches, replacement of the deck surface, railings & guradrails, reconstruction of the roadway approaches and replacement of the bridge suspended municipal water main. The project is expeced to be completed in late October.

Comment: Realignment and reconstruction of US2 and VT14 intersection in East Montpelier will begin in early August 2010.

Roadwork - US 302
US 302: at VT 14, VT 62
construction work — until December 3
Comment: Reconstruction and traffic signal work will take place in Barre City to include North Main and Route 62, Maple Avenue and Summer Street and Summer and Elm Street. Various lane closures and roadway restricitons will be in place. Traffic shall be maintained for the duration of the project however some delays can be expected. Most of the work will take place from 7AM to 5PM Monday through Friday with some night and Saturday work possible.

Roadwork - Vermont 12
Vermont 12: from North Calais Road to Elmore Pond Road
construction work, single line traffic - alternating directions, delays, speed restrictions in force because the road is being repaved — until October 15
Comment: Project length is approximatly 8 miles from Hancock Brook Road in Worcester north to Lacasse Road in Elmore. Expect multiple work zones. The road surface is rough in places with low shoulders. Vehicles, espicially motorcycles should use extreme caution.

Vermont 14: from US 2 to VT 214
construction work, traffic restrictions in force due to bridge construction work — until October 1
Comment: This project will resume on 04/28/10 and involves the construction of a new bridge on Route 14 just north of E. Montpelier. A 30 MPH speed limit is advised through the detour with a 40 MPH Limit in the construction zone. The lane width narrows to 11 feet.
